Why We Chose Direct Wiring Over Wall Plugs

You might notice that RALITON tracks don't have a bulky wall plug at the end. That’s intentional. We build Hardwired systems because they are fundamentally safer and more powerful for permanent installations.
The Problem with Plug-in Tracks:
  1. Power Limitation: Plug-in systems are limited by the wall outlet they plug into (usually 15A/1800W). They also have a bulky transformer box that hangs down, ruining the aesthetics.
  2. Tripping Hazards: The cord creates clutter on the floor or countertop.
  3. Heat: Transformers generate heat, which is unsafe in enclosed spaces.
The RALITON Hardwired Advantage:
  1. Full Capacity: By connecting directly to your home's 20A circuit, you get the full 2500W. No bottlenecks.
  2. Clean Aesthetics: No cords, no boxes. Just a clean, permanent fixture.
  3. Safety: Hardwired connections are more secure and less prone to arcing than plugs that can wiggle loose over time.
Installation Note:
Because it is hardwired, we recommend using a licensed electrician for the final connection to your junction box. This ensures compliance with local codes and guarantees safety.
